Here's a good set of Properity-Tips for Success -- by a facebook friend: Ryan Pinnick
1. Goals - I set and review goals regularly, ideally on a daily basis
2. Focus - I have at times done too much and made very slow progress in the things I was working on. I always ask myself, how is what I am doing moving me closer to my goals, and if it isn’t, then I don’t do it or I delegate it.
3. Gratitude - I am grateful and give thanks every morning and throughout the day for what I have. Because of practise, I have received even more.
4. Meditation - I am no guru and I can’t levitate but I do experience the fruits of meditation. Sitting up straight having quiet time not doing anything and focussing on my breathing on a daily basis allows inspiration, motivation, courage, strength and creativity to flow in to my life
5. Do what you love and love what you do - I make sure that what I am doing makes me feel good and I stop doing things that make me feel bad. This is relevant to work as well. I found that when I love my work I will do more of it and I become better at it and I get paid more.
6. Monitor your feelings - When doing anything like taking action, planning or thinking, I monitor how I feel and if I feel good, I know I am on the right path. If I feel bad, then I know that I not on the right path
7. Plan - ‘If you fail to plan you plan to fail’. I write out plans including detailed step by step actions including dates which will result in the outcome that I want. By following that series of actions I get to the outcome I want.
8. Perseverance - I never give up and therefore I will never fail. I will only fail if I stop.
9. Exercise - Health and exercise are vital to the quality of my life in all areas.
10. Fun - Having fun in life adds colour and purpose. I make sure I enjoy everything I do.

Gratitude: what a topic for a challenging period! Our economy is in shambles. Another two banks failed last week. I've never seen so many jobs lost. (I may just be too young to have felt the effects of past recessions.) It seems like most people are scared these days. What is there to be grateful for?
So much! I'm thinking that gratitude is not the same as saying "I'm happy and satisfied with how everything is." It is the place to start. This is the best time to appreciate what's working in our lives so that we are better equipped to take on what is not. Ironically it's in times of loss that we become most aware of what we actually have.
Few of you know that on this month, 25 years ago, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle to school. I was 16. I was in the hospital for a week, most of that time in a coma.
I never remembered the accident itself, but when I left the hospital, I felt overwhelming gratitude for things that I had never thought about before. I couldn't believe how fortunate I was that all the skin on my face was intact! How thankful I was for every bone in my body that wasn't broken. How amazing it was, given the severity of the head injury, I could still speak when I regained consciousness. How lucky I was to be alive!
And then my life fell apart. I soon found I had trouble concentrating. When I returned to school, I couldn't remember the pages I had just read. And I couldn't analyze what I could remember. Skills and talents I had known all my life weren't there for me anymore.
My boyfriend left me. My mom went crazy and violent. I didn't sleep through the night for a year and a half. I had panic attacks constantly. The future I had taken for granted was up for grabs. I was suicidal. It was the hardest time of my life. And this brings me to my current gratitude:
It really seemed like things would never get better. Doesn't it always feel that way when you're in that dark place? Eventually, the daily anxiety attacks became weekly, and that gave me hope. Then monthly. Then once every few months, and more progress. Schoolwork was hard. Everything went very slowly. But it was always getting better, and I recovered.
I bring this up because what I am grateful for today is informed by where I've been. Bit by bit, I am manifesting everything I ever wanted. I still go through rough periods like everybody else. But when approaching the areas of life that are ready for change, it helps to start with the places of gratitude. It's like a grounding exercise. Also, it's hard to be proactive when you're feeling like a victim.
Even when things are at their worst, here are three tips and tricks to feel better:
1) An easy way to shift into gratitude mode is to start with an affirmation. The great thing about how our brains work is anytime you repeat something to yourself, your brain finds evidence to support what you're saying. Here's one I picked up in Kundalini yoga:
Healthy am I. Happy am I. Holy am I.
Try repeating this to yourself a few times aloud and silently. Notice how your feelings shift. Where is there truth in these statements?
2) Then take out pen and paper and ask yourself:
What is most important?
What are my talents?
Who are my allies?
What is the smallest thing that gives me joy?
What else do I have going for me?
What is possible for me?
3) Make a list of your current challenges. Find an opportunity in each one. It isn't what happens to you that matters; it's how you respond. See how those challenges can be transformed into blessings.
The first step to changing your world is to find the blessings in what already is. This is magic.

You are powerful beings, and when you do not exercise your power, you don't take it very well.
- When you're not loving you don't take it very well because you are a lover!
- When you are feeling out of balance, you don't take it very well because you are enormously balanced beings, and when you don't thrive you don't take it very well, because you are meant to thrive, and at the core of your being you are a stable basis of knowledge and well-being and when you deviate it because of the ATTENTION TO ONE THING OR ANOTHER, you don't take it well.
Friends, you're not supposed to do well in the feeling of negative emotion.
Negative emotion is your indicator that you are out of balance. Doesn't it give you relief to know that you don't have to modify the behavior of your wife to feel better?
Doesn't it give you relief to realize that you don't have to change the world in order to see the world the way you want it to be?
Isn't it reassuring to you to understand that life is good and getting better?
Negative emotion means you've expanded and you're not letting yourself go! We always put the emphasis on the 'you've expanded part' ....Art of allowing is letting yourself be by deliberate choice of your thoughts and words and behavior, it's letting yourself be a closer match to who you really become. And when you are not doing that, you want to blame everybody, because it just feels rotten to not be who you really are. But don't lay it on their doorstep.
It's an inside job - it's a vibrational job - it's an attitude job - it's a mood-able job - it's an energy job - it's a I wanna feel better job,.... it's an I can control how I feel job!

Why waste your time thinking about all the hurt? The strange thing about forgiveness - it doesn't have to be this way, but it often is - is that, when you hear people talking about forgiveness they're usually talking about what they're forgiving. 'Oh yeah, it's a terrible thing she did to me. [and with mock anger...] But I forgive her.' [laughter] And what happens is anything that you give your attention to activates in your vibration. So if something has hurt you, and you are working to forgive it, you are activating.
Forgiveness is almost exactly the same, in fact would we say it is exactly the same, as saying 'I'm going to deactivate this thing that hurt me'. And we would say the reason that it doesn't go very far and the reason that people struggle so hard with the idea of forgiveness is because they keep digging up the stuff they don't want and keeping it active in their vibration so that they have a stream of people they have to forgive. They forgave their mother for what she did and kept it alive and then they had to forgive this lover and this lover and this lover and this lover. And every day it's an eternal quest to forgive. And we say why not just let it go and activate something that doesn't need forgiving.
Any person is like a microcosm of the Universe. They have within them things that you adore and things that you would rather not see.
And if you are forgiving some of the stuff you don't want to see you are keeping it active so it becomes a bigger part of the personality that that person is giving to you. But if you ignore that by activating the things that you appreciate, oh that's a whole other thing.
So we would give forgiveness a new definition.
"We would say the ultimate way of forgiving is really forgetting. And the ultimate way of forgetting really is by remembering something you want to remember."

Each of us wants abundance in our life—we want to have plenty of money, love, success and happiness. If we do not have those things we believe that abundance is not present. That's because we tend to describe the 'good' in our life as abundance and the 'bad' as lack. So we believe that if have money, love, success and joy then we have abundance. And if we do not have those things we don't have abundance, or we have lack. But that is wrong. We exist in a state of abundance all of the time. Whether we have what we want or not, we always have abundance in every area of our life.
Our tendency to put abundance and the good in our life together is what misleads us into thinking that we are not able to manifest what we want or we are not being blessed when we look at our life and see only problems or lack. If we change our definition of abundance from 'wealth' to simply having a large quantity we can see two things: where we have abundance and what we have an abundance of. Then we will have the information we need to manifest what we truly want.
With a new definition of abundance we can look at our life in a much different way. Are there areas of your life that you are not happy with? Then you have an abundance of dissatisfaction. Do you have few friends and not much of a social network? Then you have an abundance of loneliness. Do you not have enough financial resources? Then you have an abundance of lack. Do you wish you could start on a new path in your life but can't seem to take that first step? Then you have an abundance of fear and doubt.
When we have a lot of things we don't like in our life, for example, difficult relationships, an unfulfilling job, not enough money, problems with family or friends, we think that we don't have abundance. We do, we have an abundance of many things that we don't like. Who is responsible for that? One hint, it's not the Universe. The Universe simply responds to our requests. It does not judge them or remind us that we are asking for things that are not going to make us very happy.
Why would we intentionally manifest what we don't like? There are many reasons, habit, fear, doubt, karmic lessons, or our own beliefs about how much happiness, success, wealth and love we deserve. That alone is the reason we have an abundance of things that do not bring us joy, peace, success and love. The Universe gives us what we ask for, no more and no less.
Once we know where abundance exists, we can begin to focus on creating an abundance of things we want and less of what we don't want. Transforming what we are attracting to ourselves is as easy as paying attention to what we are asking for, how we are asking and what we believe. While we may not intentionally tell the Universe 'I want an unfulfilling job', our belief that we won't be happy with a job or can't find one that is fulfilling or even one that pays us what we believe we deserve is enough to create an unfulfilling job.
Asking for what we want is not enough—do we believe we can have it and that we deserve it? If not, we will always fall short of getting something that satisfies us in every way. Everything that we think, say and do affects what we attract in our lives. Our thoughts have just as much energy as our words do, so if we say we want a loving partner in our life but we don't believe one will ever come our way, we should not be surprised that we are alone yet another day, month or year.
Changing our beliefs about what we deserve is one of the hardest things that we can do. It requires constant vigilance of our thoughts and words. We must make a genuine effort to remember that we are powerful, divine spiritual beings who have the ability to create whatever we want. Anything that is currently in our life is a result of something we asked for, whether we asked consciously or unconsciously, believed we deserved and will continue to manifest it until we transform ourselves.
What do you have an abundance of in your life? Is it flowing smoothly and are you happy with every aspect of your reality? If not, remember that you have created abundance, you are just not happy with it. Once you realize that, you can focus your manifestation efforts on creating an abundance of what brings you success, joy, love and peace. Monitor your thoughts and words, review your beliefs and change the ones that limit you, take action when doors open and opportunities present themselves and step into your power. Create an abundance of things that make you glad to greet each new day and live the life of your dreams. It is within your power to create abundance—use it to create an abundance of joy and blessings.
